Overview

Job title: HR Manager

Base Salary
: £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Your New Role:

As HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our people-first culture and will be a trusted strategic partner to the Board and Leadership Team. You will shape and deliver a People Strategy that enables our people to thrive, support exceptional client outcomes and drives sustainable growth.

This role goes beyond operational HR. You will build scalable people frameworks, embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and ensure our values are lived at every stage of the employee lifecycle. By investing in our people, you will ensure they deliver outstanding service to our clients, creating the conditions for long-term success and reinvestment in the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Devise, lead and implement the People Strategy in alignment with business goals, working closely with the Leadership Team and Board.
  • Champion a culture of continual improvement, engagement, and high performance aligned to the company’s mission and values.
  • Participate in weekly Leadership Team meetings, providing insight, recommendations, and HR updates to support decision-making in partnership with the board and leadership team.
  • Embed a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement through initiatives such as engagement surveys, recognition schemes, HR calendar activities, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Line manage and develop the HR Assistant, providing regular 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing development of performance appraisal and salary review processes.
  • Support learning, development, and talent progression across the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers on all employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, and flexible working.
  • Deliver a proactive, people-first HR advisory and training service to employees and managers at all levels.
  • Design and lead a recruitment approach that attracts high-quality talent aligned to our values and growth ambitions, ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews, insight reporting, and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Analyse staff feedback and insight, implementing improvements where possible to enhance employee experience and retention.
  • Provide assurance to the Board through robust governance, risk management, and legal compliance.
  • Develop, review, and maintain company policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook.
  • Manage pay and benefits in partnership with Finance and third-party providers.
  • Collate and submit monthly payroll variations and manage all forms of employee leave effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records within the HRIS (Breathe HR), ensuring adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Produce HR reports, track key HR KPIs, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
