Job overviewCAS is looking to increase its pool of MTS Trained Clinical Staff who currently work in other roles within EEAST providing a Hear and Treat function, ie UCCH Hub Clinicians, AWD Qualified and signed off CAS Staff, or Advanced Paramedics who can work on Bank Overtime Contracts to support CAS in times of demand on an overtime basis.
Applicants must already have a current MTS Qualification, and be compliant with MTS Licencing in terms of triages per month etc.
We are looking for Paramedics, Nurses (Must be Adult & Paediatric qualified).
Main duties of the jobThis role intercepts lower acuity and clinically appropriate 999 calls, providing advice and arranging for safe and appropriate care pathways for these patients. The overarching aim is to appropriately and safely reduce 999 ambulance demand and A&E admissions. The candidate will be an integral part of the evolution and establishment of a Regional CAS that will develop a multi‑disciplinary approach to 999 call interception as well as routine triage of non‑emergency 999 calls.
The successful applicant must hold an NMC nursing registration OR HCPC registered paramedic.

Person specification Knowledge & Experience Essential criteria- Currently has Nursing registration with NMC or Paramedic registration with HCPC AND 2 years post registration experience in a clinical environment.
- Current MTS Qualification with EEAST & compliance with recent triages.
- Current EEAST CAS Clinician, UCCH Clinician, Advanced Paramedic or Recently completed CAS AWD and achieved sign off.
