Senior Fund Accountant (Traditional Funds) – Chelmsford

SummaryAs Senior Fund Accountant, you will oversee regulatory reporting for Unit Trusts, OEICs, and Investment Trusts, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, meet client service level agreements, and adhere to quality standards.
Responsibilities- Review and oversee OEIC, Unit Trust & Investment Trust interim and annual reports and accounts
- Liaise with, manage and assist the offshore team regarding the ACD, Depositary, Company Secretariat and Auditors
- Review distribution calculations prepared by the offshore team
- Review income forecasting, investment restrictions & investment performance summaries
- Review monthly Depositary packs and assist in answering queries alongside the offshore team
- Review monthly AIC returns and process Directors payroll
- Review quarterly and annual ONS returns
- Assist in taking on new clients and fund launches/closures/mergers, and implement changes for new investment types, fund launches and share classes
- Review ongoing charges figures
- Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products
- Assist in continuous review and development of processes and internal controls within the fund accounting department
- Assist in offshore team development and training requirements
- Review quarterly VAT and annual CT600 tax returns
- Review invoices for ACD, Registrar, Management fees and Total Expense Rebate
- Experience and financial reporting knowledge of open‑ended and closed‑ended funds within the financial services sector
- Experience in securities administration and financial reporting for Investment Trusts, OEICs and Unit Trusts
- Thorough understanding of all fund types
- Self‑motivated, conscientious and able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality work
- Reliable and flexible regarding working hours as required
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact at all levels internally and externally
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel
- Relevant Financial Reporting experience
The job title will report to the Line Manager based in Chelmsford.
RemunerationCompensation will be market‑related and commensurate with experience and seniority. The successful candidate will receive a competitive benefits package.
