Job Description & How to Apply Below
Kingston-Upon-Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary is £30,000 to £34,000 per annum
Overtime pay typically ranging between £3,900 and £5,760 per year.
Additional £3-4,000 for travel pay outside of the 40 hour working week.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Analyst to join a well established consultancy with over 30 years of industry experience. The business has built a strong reputation across the UK for delivering high technical standards, maintaining long term client relationships, and providing a supportive, stable working environment for its staff. They continue to grow steadily without compromising on quality or overloading their teams.
The role will involve carrying out the full range of asbestos analytical duties across a wide variety of site types, including commercial, industrial, and public sector sites. Day to day responsibilities will include air monitoring, leak testing, reassurance air testing, and completing four stage clearances to allow areas to be safely reoccupied. You will work closely with asbestos removal contractors, site managers, and clients, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with current legislation.
You will also be involved in bulk sampling and producing clear, accurate documentation in line with company procedures and industry standards. From time to time, you will support survey teams by assisting with management surveys and refurbishment and demolition surveys, helping to maintain a flexible and collaborative approach across the business. The role offers a good balance between site work and autonomy, with trust placed in analysts to manage their own workload effectively.
To be considered for this position, you will hold BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications as a minimum, with P402 considered an advantage. You will have at least two years of hands on experience working as an Asbestos Analyst and a strong working knowledge of HSG 248 and HSG 264, which you can confidently apply on site. You will be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, and communicating clearly with both clients and colleagues.
Strong report writing skills, good attention to detail, IT confidence, and a full UK driving licence are all essential
