A leading Mechanical Services contractor based in Epping are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support continued growth. The company tenders for large-scale commercial projects with values up to £6.5 million, delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across a range of sectors.

The Role

As Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for major commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed mechanical estimates for commercial projects up to £6.5m.

• Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

• Producing cost plans, take-offs, and tender submissions.

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

• Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.

• Working closely with project managers and directors during handover.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the building services sector.

• Strong background in commercial projects (office, education, healthcare, etc.)

• Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and specifications.

• Confident working on tenders in the £1m–£6.5m range.

• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
