Solar PV & Battery Technical Lead (Residential Design & QA)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + bonus
Location: Colchester or London (hybrid) + occasional site visits

SERT is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing renewable energy installation business for a Solar PV & Battery Technical Lead to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant residential systems across the UK.

This role is suited to an experienced solar engineer or electrician looking to step off the tools and move into a technical leadership and design authority position.

The role

You will take ownership of the technical design, specification, and quality assurance of residential solar PV and battery storage systems. Acting as a senior technical point of contact, you will ensure all designs and installations meet MCS standards, BS 7671, G99/G100
, DNO requirements, and manufacturer specifications.

• Lead end-to-end technical design of residential solar PV and battery systems

• Produce compliant PV layouts, inverter/battery specifications, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams
