The William de Ferrers School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Head of Year with the ability to also teach English or Music. The successful candidate will inspire young people to aim high and provide them with the tools and resilience to achieve their dreams within a warm and supportive school that values the contributions and ideas of all stakeholders and strives for high achievement for all pupils.

• Lead and support a designated year group, promoting pupils’ attainment, wellbeing and personal development.
• Teach English or Music in addition to Head of Year responsibilities, as required.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve high standards and build resilience.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a dynamic, collaborative school and Trust to share best practices and contribute to school improvement.
• Participate in safeguarding, welfare, and welfare-related duties in line with school policies and safeguarding guidelines.

• Experience or capacity to lead a year group and to teach English or Music.
• Commitment to high expectations for all pupils and to inclusive, student-centered education.
• Ability to work effectively with families, staff, and external partners within a supportive school community.
