Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant, or someone with relevant experience supporting children or young people?

I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary and secondary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a number of schools in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas who are looking for Learning Support Assistants on a supply basis. There may also be opportunities for longer-term or permanent roles for the right candidates.
The Learning Support Assistant role involves working closely with pupils in the classroom to support their learning and wellbeing. This may include one-to-one support, small group work or in-class support under the direction of the class teacher. You’ll help pupils stay engaged, follow routines and build confidence in their learning.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting
A patient, supportive and positive approach
Ability to follow teacher direction and school policies
Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
