About ARU

ARU is a global university with a Gold award for the quality of its education. The Writtle campus specialises in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Role Overview

The role involves delivering theoretical and practical lessons across livestock, arable and machinery, directly related to UK agriculture. It also includes course management and collaboration with other Further Education teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging classroom and farm-based lessons to FE students.
  • Manage course content and assessment, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
  • Support the development of industry relationships and the advancement of the provision.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Writtle College team to enhance student learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 2 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Two A‑levels or an NVQ Level 3 vocational qualification, or equivalent.
  • General agricultural experience with ability to teach across livestock, arable and machinery sectors.
  • Desire to develop a diverse learner base and up‑to‑date industry knowledge.
  • Willingness to pursue teaching qualifications post‑appointment.
Interview & Selection

Interviews will take place week commencing 19th January.
