I have an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a reputable Refurbishment Contractor in Chelmsford, Essex. They are a well-established with offices in London, Cambridge and Paris.

They specialize in Refurbishment and Fit-Out projects with a value of £500,000 – £5m.

They have a select web of clients from different sectors ranging from Creative and Media, Environmental, Finance, Legal, Technology, Training and Transportation.

You will be reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an ideal position for an individual who would like to get into a growing market and gain a senior position in the future for a reputable company.

Experience:

• Degree qualified
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Experience working for a Contractor
• Able to commute to Chelmsford, Essex
• Completed Quantity Surveyor Degree
• Experience working on Commercial, Fit-Out and Refurbishment Projects

Duties:

• Month End invoicing
• Report Month end Labour vs Invoicing
• Managing Daily / Weekly labour margins
• Picking up and pricing variations to contract
• Weekly wages
• Maintaining customer credit accounts – ensuring balances are paid
