Procurement Officer

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer in Essex. This will be on a temporary contract.

Pay Rate: £400 Per Day

• Support compliant procurement activities across a range of categories, ensuring best value and adherence to regulations
• Support major strategic projects, providing commercial insight and procurement guidance from concept to delivery
• Support the development of tender documentation, evaluate submissions, and contribute to award recommendations
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand needs and enable effective sourcing
• Support the management of contracts proactively, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to procurement transformation, helping modernise processes, templates, and ways of working

• Experienced and qualified procurement professional who has CIPS and TPP qualifications
• Previous experience of working within the public sector, ideally in local government.
• A knowledge of the construction industry would be highly advantageous.
• This role requires a 'hands on' operational approach to the role rather than a strategic lead.
• Must be able to travel to the site on a regular basis and be available to start on short notice
