Procurement Officer

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer in Essex. This will be on a temporary contract.

Pay Rate: £400 Per Day

Responsibilities:

Support compliant procurement activities across a range of categories, ensuring best value and adherence to regulations
Support major strategic projects, providing commercial insight and procurement guidance from concept to delivery
Support the Development of tender documentation, evaluate submissions, and contribute to award recommendations
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand needs and enable effective sourcing
Support the management of contracts proactively, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Contribute to procurement transformation, helping modernise processes, templates, and ways of working

Skills & Experience Required:

Experienced and qualified procurement professional who has CIPS and TPP qualifications
Previous experience of working within the public sector, ideally in local government.
A knowledge of the construction industry would be highly advantageous.
This role requires a 'hands on' operational approach to the role rather than a strategic lead.
Must be able to travel to the site on a regular basis and be available to start on short notice
