Our client offers a structured grading system with clear career development, and starting salaries range from £30,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, with additional productivity bonuses that can significantly boost your earnings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed mechanical assessments on a wide range of vehicles
  • Detect and report visual defects and unusual driving behaviours
  • Perform high-quality repairs to ensure vehicles are ready for retail
  • Install accessories and components as directed by the sales team
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used, in line with warranty requirements
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend effective repair solutions
  • Maintain workshop equipment by adhering to maintenance schedules and promptly reporting any issues
  • Keep the workshop clean and organised to ensure a safe working environment
  • Deliver work to the highest standards to ensure customer satisfaction and minimise repeat repairs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  • Ideally, hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in motor vehicle repair (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A solid understanding of manufacturer standards for servicing and repairs
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
