Facility Maintenance Assistant Starting Pay
- $20.75 - $25.55 per hour D.O.E.
- Permanent, fulltime position benefits include medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
- Upon qualifying through hours worked, eligible for paid vacation, 10 paid holidays per calendar year, jury duty, bereavement leave, 401k + matching, Life and Long-term Disability Insurance.

- General Maintenance and Repair:
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. - Preventative Maintenance:
Conducting regular inspections and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems. - Construction and Remodeling:
Involved in construction projects, remodeling, and renovations, including tasks like installing walls, ceilings, concrete work, or fixtures. - Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Maintaining and operating various tools, machinery, and equipment used in maintenance and construction work. - Record Keeping and Reporting:
Documenting maintenance and repair work, tracking inventory, and reporting on the status of facilities and equipment. - Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company's guidelines, including OSHA standards. - Ability to communicate effectively and work with multiple departments across multiple facilities.
- Maintain a high level of organization.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Comply with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- GED or HS diploma.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Able to work independently and as a team to meet established deadlines.
- Strong attendance record.
- Measurement and Calculation
Skills:
Accuracy in measuring materials and calculating dimensions for precise construction. - Power and Hand Tool Proficiency:
Skilled and safe operation of a variety of tools like saws, drills, chisels, sanders, levels, tape measures, and nail guns. - Material Knowledge:
Understanding different types of wood, their properties, and suitable applications. - Framing:
Expertise in constructing the skeleton of a building, including walls, floors, and roofs. - Finish Carpentry/Trim Work:
Skill in installing interior moldings, trim around doors and windows, baseboards, and other decorative elements. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with building systems and equipment. - Communication
Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and contractors. - Attention to Detail:
Ensuring work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. - Knowledge of Safety Procedures:
Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
Strength - Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects, with a maximum weight of up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Stand/Walk - Stand and walk a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.
Climb/Balance - Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the like using the feel and legs and/or hands and arms. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on a narrow or slippery surface.
Reach - Extend both hands and arms in any direction.
Handle - Seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with the hands.
