ELS is hiring for the position of WTP Specialist in Chehalis, Washington.
*
* What you’ll do:

** The WTP manages a system of machines to transfer and/or treat water and wastewater.
** Your job will include:
*** Collect and test water.
* Operate equipment that purifies and clarifies water.
* Inspect treatment equipment, including meters and gauges, as well as the operating conditions of the plant(s).
* Record meter and gauge readings and other operational data.
* Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds and other work areas as required.
* Add chemicals such as ammonia or chlorine to disinfect water as needed.
* Comply with US Environmental Protection Agency regulations and all safety standards.
** Experience & skills you’ll need:
*** High school diploma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Associate’s degree in Water Quality Management or Wastewater Treatment Technology preferred.
* Appropriate class license in the required state(s) of operation.
* Ability to respond quickly to emergencies caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, plant malfunctions or other issues.
* Willingness and ability to work shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

** Hourly: $32.00 - $32.00
