We are seeking Carrier Operations Representatives to join our growing logistics team at KCH Transportation. This role focuses on carrier sourcing, freight execution, shipment tracking, and relationship management to ensure reliable capacity coverage and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, communicates effectively, and enjoys building long-term relationships with trucking partners.
Key Responsibilities- Source and secure carrier capacity using load boards, TMS platforms, and carrier networks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trucking companies, owner-operators, and freight carriers
- Track and trace shipments from tender through final delivery
- Communicate proactively with carriers and internal sales and account management teams
- Resolve service issues including delays, breakdowns, and delivery exceptions
- Ensure carrier compliance (insurance, safety ratings, onboarding documentation)
- Analyze carrier performance metrics to improve service levels and carrier partnerships
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume transportation environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate Degree preferred)
- Experience in logistics, transportation, carrier sales, dispatch, freight brokerage, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of truckload (TL), LTL, and freight operations is a plus
