Base Pay

$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Job Overview

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our drivers ensure products arrive on time and in good condition, building lasting customer relationships.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Act as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required and promptly report safety hazards.
  • Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing of freight.
  • Count items and cross‑check customer invoices of loaded products.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.
  • Move tractor to the loading dock and attach pre‑loaded trailer as needed.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to the predetermined route delivery schedule.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items to designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks.
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect cash or checks when required, load customer returns onto the trailer, and secure trailer doors.
  • Ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked or secured at all times.
  • Unload damaged goods, customer returns, and disposables, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Record hours of service daily and enter the log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
  • At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 12 months commercial driving experience
  • High school diploma/GED or state‑approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure a new DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (typically 10–35 lbs, up to 60–90 lbs)
