Position: Asphalt Roller Operator (Northern Middle Tennessee Division – Madison, TN)

Job Overview: Rogers Group is seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Roller Operator. The successful candidate will have previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment, an uncompromising focus on safety excellence, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and overtime.
Job Details (Full-Time)- Day Shift (some night work required)
- Location:
Madison, TN - Wages starting at $23.00 per hour
- Inspect, clean, maintain and report equipment malfunctions to Supervisor/Foreman.
- Monitor asphalt temperatures and vibration usage for proper breakdown and finish rolling of asphalt.
- Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for workers to add material.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Participate as a vital team member and contribute toward the success of the organization, which may involve providing other technical and administrative support as required.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Foreman.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Previous experience operating an asphalt roller or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Ability to work outdoors, including exposure to weather, heat, humidity, dust and asphalt.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, to include nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- CDL license preferred, but not required.
