We’re looking for a hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team. You’ll make sure our properties are operating efficiently, regularly inspect for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance. The ideal person for this job is a reliable team player and a problem solver who has some prior maintenance/handyman experience.
Responsibilities- Efficiently completes work orders generated from resident requests and the team, as well as preventative maintenance on the properties, by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem
- Makes repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
- Inspect properties during move out for any damages to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs
- Prepares vacant units for leasing and new move-ins by performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks
- Obtains needed supplies and materials, completes all maintenance tasks and inspects completed work
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
- Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our properties operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
- Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
- Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques is a plus
- Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- Excellent work ethic, organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems
- Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts
