Responsibilities

Lead Team Member General Summary

The Lead Team Member maintains a clean, well‑organized store and creates a customer‑first culture through exceptional store standards. Duties include assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store and performing other duties assigned by the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

  • Provide superior customer service and exceed expectations.
  • Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organized store environment.
  • Assist in merchandising the store to attract and retain customers.
  • Rotate product to create eye‑catching displays and drive sales.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Operate cash register and scanner, collect payment, make change and bag merchandise.
  • Assist customers in self‑checkout process at multiple registers.
  • Open and close the store under the guidance of the Store Team Leader.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
Qualifications
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandising guides.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
  • Experience with cash register functions.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and deposit control procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and kneeling.
  • Handling merchandise and equipment (scanners, pricing guns, dollies).
  • Lift up to 40 lbs routinely, occasional up to 55 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing (ladder) and driving.
  • Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise.
  • Exposure to strong scents and weather conditions.
