We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join our General Cardiology team. This role includes rounding on hospitalized patients, managing acute cardiac conditions and collaborating with the cardiology team to ensure continuity of care. The provider will also respond to cardiology consults from the ED, performing timely evaluations and initiating appropriate treatment plans.

The position follows a 7 on/7 off day shift schedule.

• Round on hospitalized patients in the cardiology service
• Manage acute cardiac conditions and collaborate with the cardiology team to ensure continuity of care
• Respond to ED cardiology consults, perform evaluations, and initiate treatment plans
• Provide daily rounding and formulate/execute treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Work autonomously in a high-acuity hospital setting

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Masters degree Physician Assistant program OR Masters degree in Nursing with accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
• Experience Preferred:
  Critical Care, ED or CVICU experience (not required)
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Tennessee with BLS and ACLS
  • OR Licensed as RN in Tennessee, Advanced Practice Nurse, National certification in a specialty (ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP), Tennessee certificate of fitness per specialty, BLS and ACLS as applicable
  • Note on Licensure:
    Tennessee nursing license is single state; multistate license via compact state must be obtained within 3 months of hire for non-Tennessee residents

The ACNP/PA in cardiology will function as a key member of the inpatient cardiology service, providing advanced clinical management of patients admitted with a broad spectrum of conditions. This role includes comprehensive daily rounding, formulation and execution of treatment plans, and close collaboration with attending cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care. Respond to emergency department consults, perform initial assessments, order diagnostics and initiate interventions.

7 on/7 off day shift; covers Baroness hospital and Erlanger East.
