Overview
As our Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will connect our hospital directly to the community, delivering specialized in-home care that empowers patients to heal comfortably and effectively.
Responsibilities- Manage in-home patient visits daily, performing advanced treatments such as PICC line care, wound vacs, and infusions.
- Educate patients and families on complex conditions and treatments.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to assure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist the Director with KRONOS as needed, including staff completion of edit logs and mileage requests.
- Organize and track Wound Center supplies; order as needed.
- Assist with orientation of new staff.
- Support the special needs of each patient in the clinical setting to provide a quality patient care environment.
- Lead staff huddles and inform staff of pertinent information.
- Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and 2 years RN experience, upon hire
- Registered Nurse license: TN, upon hire
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, upon hire
- Experience in diabetes and/or patient education
- Certified Diabetes Educator, upon hire
