ER Psychiatric Nurse.

Compensation
: $20,000 Sign-On Bonus available for external candidates. This is a Full-Time Night shift position, 7p-7a.

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe environment, identifies nursing problems, and plans individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities.

When acting in charge nurse role, directs day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care, assigns staff based on patient need and acuity, and serves as a clinical resource.

• You will oversee and direct the care of psychiatric patients.
• You will be the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• You will demonstrate clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintain high-quality patient care.
• You will communicate effectively to maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• You must set limits when needed by recognizing potential behavior problems and doing so in a caring and consistent manner.
• You must possess knowledge of psycho-dynamics and therapeutic processes with effective intervention and communication of processes to others.

• RN License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Psychiatric or Behavioral Health Services experience preferred
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within 30 days of hire
