Emergency Room Nurse

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The RN is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and families. Daily responsibilities include assessments, developing care plans, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patient conditions with accurate records.

• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.

• Applying knowledge of human development, assessment, treatment, and care appropriate to patient age.

• Promoting hospital customer service initiatives.

• Using the nursing process to meet individual patient needs.

• Performing technical skills and procedures competently.

Qualifications required:

• Current RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a compact state.

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of employment.

• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

• ER RN experience preferred.

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge, offering a full range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics, robotic surgery, and a Level III NICU. We are recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Our hospital provides obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures.
