Job Summary: The In-House Grant Resources Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of enterprise-wide grant management, including writing, procurement monitoring, analysis, reporting and program success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for inventory of grants, monitoring and reporting
- Research and identify funding opportunities from government, foundations, corporations and other funding sources to support the health system’s initiatives.
- Analyze the priorities and eligibility criteria of potential funders and ensure alignment with the health system’s strategic goals.
- Develop, write, and edit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other application materials for submission to funding agencies ensuring clarity and conciseness while addressing funder priorities and criteria.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders and other staff to gather necessary data and project details to create strong proposals.
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, including formatting, deadlines, required documentation and compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential funders.
- Monitor and track the progress of awarded grants, including reporting on milestones, objectives, outcomes and accounting.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of grant opportunities, submissions, and awards.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all submitted and awarded grants.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Health, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in grant writing, preferably within a healthcare or non-profit environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare funding opportunities, including local, state, federal and private sector sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple grants and proposals simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving challenges.
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including funding agencies, donors, and community partners.
