Position: Production Shift Lead (7PM-7AM Nights)

M&M Industries is a U.S.

-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork, and consistent production performance are critical to meeting customer needs.

Shift Lead is responsible for supporting daily production operations by ensuring teams meet shift objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and material flow. This role provides day-to-day leadership on the production floor by communicating expectations, coaching and mentoring team members, supporting injection molding processes, and reinforcing standard work practices. The Shift Lead works closely with the Shift Supervisor to identify issues, share best practices, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Coach, lead, and mentor team members to support goals in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Oversee schedule and material changes in accordance with the work order changeover process
  • Oversee and support injection molding processes
  • Monitor machine output for non-conformance and support defect resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S methodology
  • Conduct pre-shift production meetings
  • Provide day-to-day support for production team members, including floaters, operators, material handlers, and processors
  • Provide the Shift Supervisor with accurate information regarding safety issues, quality concerns, and production bottlenecks
  • Adhere to production standards and SOPs and escalate non-conformance issues to the Shift Supervisor
Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to utilize or learn production monitoring software
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish
  • Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience
  • One (1) or more years of experience working on molding machines such as Husky, BMB, Van Dorn, Engel, and/or Milacron preferred
  • Basic knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as Beck robotic automation, Martin Automation, and Kase heat transfer applications preferred
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and handle 45–55 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise levels
  • Ability to perform work from standing and/or sitting positions
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include hot or cold conditions
  • Ability to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
