Primary Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly sweeping, disposing of scrap materials, and clearing walkways and workstations of debris
- Ensure that machines are properly cleaned and maintained
- Assist in moving and staging raw materials, parts, and tools within the machine shop to support production workflows
- Deliver and retrieve materials and components from storage areas or other departments
- Help maintain tools and equipment by ensuring they are properly stored, cleaned, and ready for use
- Provide general support to operators by assisting with setup, part loading/unloading, and other tasks as needed
- Ensure that operators have easy access to materials, tools, and equipment to prevent delays in production
- Follow machine shop safety policies and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures
- Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or team leads
- Operate forklift as necessary
- Work safely in the manufacturing production environment
- Follow detailed verbal/written assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
- Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctly that pertain to job duties
- Communicate and work effectively with others
- Provide hands‑on and verbal job function training to coworkers as needed
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to the Production Supervisor or member of management
- Record daily all work performed and correct distribution of work time
- Use software systems as needed to complete job duties
- Contribute to culture of high‑quality products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- Perform other job‑related duties as directed by supervisor per CBA and company policies
- The Supervisor will instruct each employee in the responsibilities as listed in the procedures
- The Supervisor will inform each employee where to access the procedure manual
- Ability to work with your hands
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot/cold)
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach at arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
