Material Handler

American Display & Fixtures – Chattanooga, TN

American Display & Fixture (ADF) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to join our Assembly team at our Chattanooga manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for efficiently moving, organizing, and tracking inventory throughout the facility using forklifts, scan guns, and inventory systems. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a safe work environment, communicates effectively, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

• Safely operate forklifts with awareness of surroundings, people, and equipment
• Ensure forklifts are properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready for operation
• Track and update inventory movement using scan guns, logs, and inventory systems
• Move materials and inventory across facilities and to designated workstations
• Load and unload inventory from trucks and ensure proper placement
• Stack, organize, and manage large bulk items
• Identify damaged parts or materials and request replacements as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate equipment or inventory concerns promptly to supervision or maintenance
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals and production efficiency

• Forklift experience required
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus
• Ability to move and organize large quantities of materials
• Basic inventory tracking and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate issues clearly
• Strong attention to safety and efficiency

• Is reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
• Enjoys hands-on, active work in a manufacturing environment
• Takes initiative and works well independently
• Is comfortable operating forklifts and handling large materials
• Values teamwork, organization, and contributing to production success
