Job Title

Global Mechanical Service Technician at Card‑Monroe Corp.

Job Description

Create satisfied customers by installing and servicing CMC tufting machines, including sew‑offs, operator training, and warranty work. Technicians receive their work assignments from their manager and work independently, with minimal supervision at customer locations throughout the world.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Travel to assigned job sites as required; assemble, install, diagnose, and service products to meet manufacturer’s specifications and company safety, quality and productivity standards.
  • Inspect products and parts, repairing when necessary.
  • Carry required tools, parts and supplies for each assigned job.
  • Follow company travel policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate professional customer‑service skills at all times, answering questions, arriving on time, notifying managers of delays, and using time productively.
  • Maintain uniform and personal grooming for a neat and clean appearance.
  • Manage assignments on a project basis, reviewing plans with customers before starting work and providing routine updates to keep the customer and manager informed.
  • Maintain and submit accurate records and documentation in a timely manner (labor tickets at the end of assignment or weekly; customer orders/expenses daily), including machine‑specific information, start/stop times and status updates.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; use correct tools and PPE, follow CMC and customer safety policies, work using ergonomic principles, and report unsafe conditions to the Service Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, company personnel and managers, following instructions, resolving issues, documenting non‑conformances, submitting daily status reports, and filing ECR/QAR forms for improvements.
  • Skillfully perform all related tasks to meet customer expectations and fulfill company requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School or trade school graduate.
  • 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience in assembly, repair or rebuilding of related machinery.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. and to foreign countries on extended assignments (up to one or more months).
Physical Requirements

Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently stand, talk and hear; occasionally walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
