Distribution Center Lead
Join Blend Supply as a full‑time Distribution Center Lead and lead safety, quality, production, inventory, receiving, paint matching and shipping operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of the Distribution Center.
- Work with DC Operations Manager for all Inventory Management processes and activities.
- Mix batches based on standards and formulas from manufacturers.
- Match paint using color match system, spray outs, and quality control.
- Accountability for total receiving process at DC.
- Know and uphold all AS9100d work instructions and Blend Supply operating systems.
- Pick, package and ship all orders according to Blend Supply standards.
- Ensure safety, productivity, and quality in all distribution operations.
- Maintain a neat and organized warehouse.
- Communicate and collaborate on orders, stocking, quality and other vital information for decision making.
- Work with management and quality assurance for prioritization and objectives.
- Follow Blend Supply policies and procedures consistently.
- Perform all tasks efficiently and effectively in the DC.
- Conduct daily cycle counts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Safety and Security – observe procedures, report unsafe conditions, use equipment safely.
- Planning/Organization – prioritize and plan work, use time efficiently, set goals, develop realistic action plans.
- Problem Solving – identify and resolve problems, analyze information, develop alternative solutions.
Must be able to perceive color, including when matching coatings and samples.
Education and ExperienceAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. Five+ years in supply chain, logistics and/or inventory management with advancing responsibilities; paint matching, mixing and tinting experience with demonstrated ability to accurately match color specifications.
Language SkillsBilingual in Spanish is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Computer SkillsKnowledge of Inventory and Order Processing (Prophet 21) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical DemandsRegular use of hands, fingers, arms; frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, climbing; lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds; color vision required.
Work EnvironmentExposure to fumes, airborne particles and chemicals; safety equipment such as respirators and glasses required; moderate noise level.
