Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am. The shift incentive includes a 10%
-15% premium, paid lunch, and 3-day weekends.

What you can expect as an Interior Upholstery Technician at West Star

As an interior upholstery technician you will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment and reinstallation of interior upholstery components on world class business aircraft. Some of the tasks include general upholstery on aircraft—seats, panels and other interior items. Our upholstery techs are also responsible for removal and installation of seats, disassembly, cleaning, repair and modifications of components as needed. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader in charge of that project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic to advanced foam build ups, patterning and sewing of seat parts and other upholstery items.
  • Perform minor modifications.
  • Perform daily turnover sheets.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling.
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop and surroundings.
  • Work independently when required.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in English (speak, write, read).
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
