The Custodian position assists the Custodial Coordinator in keeping the buildings clean. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, event set‑ups, cleaning restrooms, washing walls, wiping down whiteboards, emptying trash, and servicing/maintaining department equipment. Uniforms and PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times. This position reports to the Custodial Coordinator and ultimately to the Executive Director of Plant Operations.

• Promotes, supports, and participates in student recruitment and retention efforts.

• Maintains a culture of consistency and equity among all community members.
• Supports and promotes a culture of safety within the department.
• Keeps buildings clean and tidy year-round under the direction of the Custodial Coordinator.

• Works efficiently, performing all duties such as setting up events, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, etc.
• Can lift at least 50 pounds safely and independently.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures relevant to job duties.
• Skilled in safe operation of custodial equipment (e.g., carpet shampooer, buffer, vacuum).
• Effective communication in one‑on‑one or group settings.
• Maintains healthy working relationships with all campus members and receives and champions directives from supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent and no less than three years of custodial experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Salary Range: $28,010 – $32,912
