- Manage docket and patent prosecution practice for assigned global client portfolios.
- Review, prepare, and file patent prosecution applications and supporting documentation with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, WIPO, and other international officials, including Provisional, Non‑Provisional, Track 1, Design, PCT, US National Stage, and Convention filings.
- Prepare and file documents such as Notice to File Missing Parts, Foreign Signature Documents, Formal Documents, responses to Office Actions, Issue Fee Transmittals, and Information Disclosure Statements.
- Review incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and international associates regarding status of patent applications, and prepare necessary corrective documents.
- Maintain and update IDS charts and client portfolio spreadsheets.
- Generate status reports for clients, update client dockets, and send reminders to attorneys, international counsel, and clients.
- Coordinate project management, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining internal docket reports, charts, and meeting agendas.
- Upload communications and documents to docketing and DMS systems, manage client portals, and attend status meetings.
- Perform research and compile data as requested.
- Knowledge of USPTO, PCT, and international patent rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and ePCT.
- Understanding of IP docketing, deadlines, and maintenance of secondary dockets.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- 5+ years of IP experience supporting Hard Sciences portfolios.
- Docketing knowledge and experience, with CPi software preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $110,000 – $135,000.
