AI Governance Consultant

Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled AI Governance Consultant to help establish, refine, and operationalize responsible AI practices across our clients organization. This individual will play a key role in defining guardrails, standards, and oversight mechanisms that ensure AI and machine learning solutions are developed, deployed, and monitored in a secure, transparent, and compliant manner.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the AI/ML development lifecycle, strong technical fluency, and experience working with governance frameworks in complex or regulated environments. This role will collaborate closely with AI development teams, business stakeholders, and compliance partners to guide responsible AI adoption across the organization.

$80/hour to $90/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors.

• Establish and enhance AI governance frameworks, standards, and guardrails that support responsible and compliant AI development across the enterprise.
• Evaluate AI and machine learning use cases for risk, compliance, ethical considerations, and security impacts.
• Review AI models and applications to ensure alignment with best practices in responsible AI, model explainability, fairness, and lifecycle management.
• Support model monitoring, logging, and operational oversight, ensuring proper controls for drift detection, performance tracking, and auditability.
• Partner with AI development teams to integrate governance requirements throughout the model and application lifecycle—from design through deployment and retirement.
• Ensure adherence to federal, regulatory, and industry guidance related to AI governance, privacy, and compliance expectations.
• Communicate AI governance standards and best practices to business and technical stakeholders through documentation, training, and ongoing advisory support.
• Promote responsible AI adoption by helping teams understand how to implement AI securely, effectively, and in alignment with governance strategy.

• End-to-end experience with the AI/ML lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS, especially in AI/ML workloads.
• Strong experience with AI and model governance practices, including risk assessments, controls, documentation standards, and responsible AI principles.
• Solid statistical and mathematical foundation supporting machine learning and AI implementation.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency for working with models, data, and analytics.
