Network Security Engineer (Zscaler Engineer)

Experienced Network Security (Firewall)/Zscaler Administrator

Assist with design, development and maintenance of the computer and network infrastructure. Typically, should have at least 7-9 years experience and professional degree, in-depth experience in Network Security Technology architecture design, evaluation, deployment or support that addresses one or more of the following security areas:

• Firewalls (Palo Alto)
• VPN
• Authentication
• Encryption
• Vulnerability assessment
• Penetration Analysis
• Intrusion Detection
• FI Load Balancer
• Juniper SRX
• Expert in Supporting Checkpoint / Solaris firewalls in a high-availability enterprise environment
• Strong checkpoint, Solaris and Cisco network skills

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions across the enterprise.
• Integrate Zscaler solutions with existing network and security infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, proxies, VPNs, SD-WAN).
• Work with stakeholders to define secure access policies and implement zero trust network access (ZTNA) models.
• Monitor and optimize Zscaler platform performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure policy alignment and secure user access.
• Provide tier-3 support and guidance on Zscaler issues and incidents.
• Create and maintain documentation for Zscaler configurations, architecture, and operational procedures.
• Stay current with Zscaler product updates, security trends, and emerging technologies.

• 8+ years of experience working with Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA).
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, routing).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based security platforms and SASE architecture.
• Familiarity with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) and integration with Zscaler.
• Solid experience in enterprise network security and troubleshooting.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
