OverviewAs a Housekeeping Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and surrounding corridors. The role involves supervising, training, and sometimes directly assisting with cleaning duties to keep the hotel running efficiently and to meet the highest standards of guest experience.
Responsibilities- Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and corridors.
- Assist in cleaning rooms and public areas when needed.
- Ensure rooms are guest‑ready before release to the front desk.
- Report deficiencies and equipment malfunctions to the maintenance department.
- Make beds neatly with fresh linens, pick up trash, vacuum, and empty waste cans.
- Maintain clean mirrors, shelves, door frames, furniture, windowsills, and baseboards.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, replenish supplies, and place clean towels on racks.
- Keep hallway areas in front of rooms clean.
- Report to the Executive Housekeeper the status of rooms (vacant, occupied, clean).
- Document discrepancies in furniture, equipment, and room condition.
- Provide assistance to fellow associates, guests, and other departments as required.
- Ensure the security of guests, associates, and hotel assets.
- Confidentiality regarding business functions, financial status, customer/guest information, and employee issues.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organized, honest, and collaborative, with a high degree of integrity.
- Comfortable working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, stretch, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work 8 hours in a restrictive space or environment.
- Must have near and far vision, be comfortable using a step stool or ladder, and use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
- Clear speaking voice, basic hearing ability, and reading comprehension of English.
