Medical Biller

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with 1–3 years of experience to manage patient accounts and insurance coordination. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health of the practice by maintaining accurate billing records and facilitating proactive collections. While certification is not required, the ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.

• Account Management: Review patient balances and proactively contact patients to settle outstanding accounts prior to their scheduled appointments.
• Insurance Verification: Verify that patient insurance information is current and accurate; contact insurance carriers directly to update records as needed.
• Data Entry: Accurately input coding and billing information into patient accounts to ensure clean claim submission.
• Problem Solving: Navigate billing discrepancies and provide clear explanations to patients regarding their financial responsibilities.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.

  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with medical billing software; experience with eClinical
  
  Works (eCW) is a plus (training will be provided).
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for professional patient outreach and insurance correspondence.
• Self-Management: Ability to manage a 40-hour work week independently with a high degree of accuracy.
