Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vascular Sonographer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform vascular diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate blood vessels and assist in the diagnosis and management of vascular disease, contributing to the overall quality of patient care and supporting the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound studies, including Doppler and duplex imaging, to assess blood flow and vessel structure.
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, documenting findings accurately and clearly.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss results and contribute to patient management plans.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in vascular ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a vascular specialty.
- Will consider registry eligible applicants.
- Proven experience performing vascular ultrasound studies in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Experience with advanced imaging techniques and technologies.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and imaging software.
