Medical/Rehab Psychologist

Join Siskin Hospital as a Medical/Rehab Psychologist. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical/Rehab Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of post‑doctoral experience in providing psychological services and community referrals. This role involves conducting appropriate and timely evaluations, participating in interdisciplinary treatment plans, including the communication of psychological/neuropsychological information, as needed. Additionally, and as appropriate, (s) he participates in the development of program evaluation and performance improvement procedures, treatment protocols and the provision of staff education and training.

The Psychologist will contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the hospital and the achievement of the mission and values of Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct appropriate and timely evaluations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment plans, including communication of psychological/neuropsychological information, as needed.
  • Participate in the development of program evaluation and performance improvement procedures, treatment protocols, and the provision of staff education and training.
Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into a cohesive and logical sequence for written work and oral presentation.
  • Strong fiscal skills and the ability to effectively use management information to monitor budget expectations.
  • Well‑founded knowledge base within the field of Psychology.
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Ability to receive detailed/technical information from a variety of sources, retain it, interpret it, and use it effectively in future decision making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport in assessment and therapy.
  • Ability to move patients a short distance in wheelchairs and arrange furniture in rooms for groups.
  • Ability to travel between hospital and off‑site offices during the day.
