American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S., providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our state‑of‑the‑art centers focus on the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers’ compensation, and occupational medicine, each equipped with an onsite lab and in‑house X‑ray capability.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for patients within the scope of training and approved by the governing board. The APP works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories and review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate health‑care facilities, agencies, and other community resources.
• Institute emergency measures and appropriate stabilization in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health‑care promotion to patients, families, and significant others.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and families.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred).
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state‑controlled substance certificate, as required.
• Able to multi‑task and work independently.

$53.00 – $58.00 per hour.
