You'll work with in a multidisciplinary team, utilizing our state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym and benefiting from the support of 2 dedicated Rehab Aides. Our programs include Acute Neuro Rehab, Aquatic Pool Therapy, and Pain Management, offering a wide range of learning and growth opportunities.

Your role As an Occupational Therapist (OTR), you will be instrumental in guiding patients through their recovery journey. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
* Providing direct patient care and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, adhering to the state practice act.
* Documenting evaluations, progress notes, and other required information accurately and timely, complying with regulatory standards.
* Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team (supervisor, nurses, other therapists) to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
* Participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences.
* Training nursing staff and patient families on restorative programs and caregiver techniques for a smooth transition to home.
* Recommending and facilitating the acquisition of necessary durable medical equipment (DME) to promote patient independence.
* Participating in discharge planning to ensure a safe and successful return to the highest possible level of function.
* Assisting with in-service training programs for other staff within the facility.
* Ensuring department equipment is maintained in good working order by reporting any issues promptly.
