FINANCE ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO ACCOUNTING - ITALIAN SPEAKER
THE JOB:
The successful candidate will provide general accounting and operations support to the Portfolio Accounting team within the Finance Department, reviewing accounting and reporting for a number of pan-European and worldwide real‑estate portfolios of the Company managed investment funds.
- Financial Accounting: review property reporting packages, bookings, general journal entries, group GAAP adjustments, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial metrics; prepare annual corporate budget.
- Reporting: facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting; review external debt covenants, statutory accounts, US Tax reporting package; assist with group consolidation and ad hoc reports.
- Cash Management: ensure sufficient liquidity, approve invoice payments, prepare periodic cash distribution analysis and ensure timely cash repatriation to investors.
- Portfolio Management: support Finance, Tax and Asset Management with ad hoc information/analysis; involvement in onboarding, acquisition, disposition and financing of real‑estate portfolios; liaise with internal and external parties.
- Tax Structuring: liaise with external advisors to ensure tax structuring compliance and keep SPV tax filings up to date.
- Compliance & Risk: ensure legal and statutory compliance, review and improve risk‑mitigation processes, and maintain internal risk management safeguards.
- Other Responsibilities:
assist continuous improvement initiatives, support and coach junior members, supervise and manage the team, liaise with third‑party administrators and finance teams across Europe and worldwide.
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit or Finance; accounting certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA) considered a plus.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in real‑estate accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP.
- Fluency in English and Italian (verbally and in writing);
Spanish considered a plus; other languages are an advantage. - Proficient user of MS Office; knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Yardi) is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate and support team activities, potential to take on leadership responsibilities as needed.
- Result‑oriented, hands‑on mentality, excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills with solid managerial experience record; ability to analyze data, prepare clear reports, manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong work ethic, proactive, positive attitude, self‑motivated, good written and verbal communication skills.
