This is a full‑time on-site role in Chattanooga, TN for a Corporate Controller. This is a pivotal "step‑up" position designed for a high‑output financial professional ready to take the next leap in their career—
prior experience as a Corporate Controller is not required.
The primary focus of this role is financial modeling and operational forecasting to drive our expansion across Eastern Tennessee. You will be the engine behind our growth projections, providing the data necessary to scale efficiently. While the role includes oversight of GAAP compliance and tax efficiencies, we are looking for a forward‑looking partner who can assist in financing and banking relationships.
The role will evolve through several key stages:
- Transitional: Core execution with a heavy emphasis on modeling and growth forecasting.
- Developing: Engaging with banking partners to shop debt terms and expand our financial network.
- Advisory: Identifying tax efficiencies and reducing reliance on external CPA firms through internal expertise.
- Collaborative: Partnering directly with the Founders to analyze deal logic and navigate market cycles.
- Mastery of Financial Modeling: Exceptional ability to build and maintain complex operational forecasts.
- Advanced Excel
Skills:
You should be highly proficient in Excel and comfortable using data to tell a strategic story. - Financial Oversight: Solid understanding of budgeting, general ledger management, and GAAP principles.
- Strategic Communication: Ability to collaborate with Founders and communicate effectively with banking institutions.
- Growth Mindset: An "Aspirant" who delivers high output today and has the ambition to eventually lead and delegate as the department grows.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (
CPA is not necessary
). - Location: Ability to work on‑site in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment in Chattanooga, TN.
