Responsibilities- Develop financial models and provide financial analysis to support the trends of the business unit.
- Create and maintain reporting methods to track and monitor key financial metrics.
- Alert management of significant variances, the cause, and suggested corrective measures.
- Perform analysis as needed to understand business performance.
- Perform consolidation and analysis for developing monthly reporting of all key financial metrics for the business unit.
- Record journal entries. Analyze variances, monthly operating results, and key operating measures to ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure proper department and general ledger accounts are charged. Address data integrity issues in QAD, FAS, One Stream and other financial systems.
- Manage fixed assets, including CER review and approval.
- Lead the business unit in identifying, defining, and documenting cost drivers and cost functions.
- Provide assistance and guidance to functional area managers and senior managers to create understanding of costs and cost studies.
- Monitor annual cost reduction initiatives and ensure system reflects changes. Report out monthly.
- Review the monthly cost detail on large programs to ensure the integrity of program costs and to identify any unusual trends or exceptions.
- Assist in the development of the five‑year strategic annual operating plans and monthly forecast process from the initial requirements to final presentation and approval.
- Conduct market research and analysis in support of business planning activities including mix by customer and product family.
- Lead the preparation of budget, plan and forecast including income statement, balance sheet and capital spend.
- Lead the regular review of performance to prior year, budget, plan and forecast.
- Report out financial performance to metrics monthly to corporate finance.
- Responsible for self‑audit and acting as the local representative for external audits.
- Support new product development and capital planning activities.
- Develop costed BOMs for new product initiatives.
- Complete make vs. buy analysis for both new product programs and cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead the cost research for all capital projects including ROI analysis and develop financial documentation to support capital requests.
- Track and manage capital spend and depreciation for all CBU projects.
- Responsible for budgeting and reporting expenses for the Wheel‑End and Brake business unit and Administration entities within the Brake and Wheel‑End Group.
- Perform consolidation and analysis for developing monthly reporting of financial metrics for the WE and Administration entities.
- Assist with capital spend planning and manage fixed assets.
- Support new product development activities for the WE business unit.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- MBA or CMA/CPA is desired.
- 8+ years of progressive financial or cost analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2–5 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
- Solid cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Mechanical aptitude with technical competency.
- Strong grasp in MS Office applications – Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with an emphasis on advanced Excel features and financial modeling skills.
