A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will encourage you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following:

  • Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing schematic designs for TDOT, local government, and other projects around the region.
  • Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.
  • Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants.
  • Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others.
  • Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Tennessee preferred as starting point)
  • 5+ years of experience with Micro Station, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TDOT procedures
  • Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners.
Bonuses
  • Experience with Bentley ORD
  • Experience with Large Scale TDOT Projects or Programs
  • Experience and relationships with various TN cities and other agencies
  • Advanced skills in specialized software programs
  • Technical Training Experience
