Job Overview
Jacobs seeks an experienced HVAC Designer for our Advanced Manufacturing Group’s Building Mechanical team. The role focuses on delivering innovative HVAC solutions for heavy industrial clients, working closely with engineers, clients, and vendors to develop and finalize construction design packages.
SalaryBase pay range: $102,900 – $135,075 per year.
Responsibilities- Conduct field investigations and interface with clients & vendors.
- Size and select HVAC equipment, prepare calculations, and develop Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and other critical arrangements.
- Create concept, preliminary, and final construction documents for HVAC systems, including chilled water, cooling water, and other plant systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and quality standards.
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC design experience for industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards for HVAC design.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team with multiple deadlines.
- Experience collaborating remotely with project teams.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Design experience for plumbing/utility systems.
