This position offers the opportunity to manage project(s) involving engineers, designers, controls, and scheduling professionals in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing nuclear power plant modifications. The role requires coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the entire project life cycle.
Responsibilities- Oversee project execution, coordinating resources from all disciplines as required.
- Take ownership of project performance, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience throughout the lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor the project team, ensuring accountability and fostering professional growth.
- Maintain positive relationships with client task engineers and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget, and dashboard items.
- Identify and control construction risk.
- Track, recognize, and manage change.
- Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors.
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports and studies that meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats.
- Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and requires in-office work three days per week.
Essential Skills and Experience- BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- 12+ years of experience in a technical field (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).
- Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team collaboration ability.
- Schedule development and management experience.
- Budget management experience.
- Construction management or a management/business degree.
- Engineering design experience.
- PMP certification.
- MBA.
- Experience writing proposals.
