The OpportunityAs a Senior Electrical Engineer
, you will:
- Lead or support complex nuclear plant design projects.
- Develop design change packages for operating nuclear plant facilities.
- Produce electrical drawings (one‑line, three‑line, motor schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.).
- Perform engineering calculations (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, relay settings, battery sizing).
- Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials.
- Create man‑hour budgets and schedules.
- Attend on‑site meetings, investigate conditions, interface with clients, and support construction.
- Use Project Wise, ETAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Provide technical guidance on design guides, standards, codes, and B&V policies.
- Ensure compliance with the B&V quality program and promote continuous improvement.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables and support decision‑making.
- Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects.
- Communicate client interests and develop solutions to meet their needs.
- Serve as a technical specialist, participate in professional societies, and mentor staff.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Kansas or applicable state.
- Project lead experience and technical SME in nuclear plant design.
- Experience in nuclear power plant facility design or similar power generation facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
- Eligibility to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements.
Overland Park, KS (World Headquarters) or regional offices:
Ann Arbor, MI;
Chattanooga, TN;
Cary, NC;
Gaithersburg, MD. Must be able to relocate to the required location.
U.S. citizenship required to satisfy 10 CFR 810 for the global nuclear program.
