Position Overview:

To serve Christ and His Kingdom by cultivating a nurturing, grace-filled environment where every child is cherished as an image-bearer and faithfully guided toward academic and spiritual flourishing. In partnership with parents and colleagues, this role seeks to honor the unique design of each child, infusing a biblical worldview into every aspect of teaching and school community, to inspire curiosity and a love of God.

Ultimately, the teacher works to equip children to love God and their neighbors, preparing them to lead and serve as peacemakers and caretakers who represent Christ with distinction in their home, church, society, and culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Academic Instruction
  • Honor the unique design of every child by tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring each child feels seen, valued, and loved.
  • Engage the whole child by utilizing instructional strategies and materials that demonstrate deep care for their individual developmental needs.
  • Faithfully guide children toward understanding learning objectives, utilizing multiple instructional resources and creative problem solving for differentiation.
  • Celebrate and monitor each child's growth through thoughtful ongoing assessment, valuing both the process and the outcome of their learning journey.
  • Cultivate a nurturing classroom atmosphere that fosters spiritual, physical, and social flourishing alongside academic excellence.
  • Infuse a biblical worldview into every subject, helping children recognize Christ's truth and biblical teaching across the entire curriculum.
  • Design integrated learning experiences that help children discover the connected nature of God's creation and knowledge.
  • Steward the classroom environment with order and purpose to create a peaceful space where effective learning can thrive.
  • Leverage technology as a tool to enhance the discovery process and strengthen the educational experience for the child.

  • Shepherd children toward Christ-centered character, guiding them into responsible behavior through loving accountability.
  • Encourage a spirit of service and collaboration where children support, encourage, and learn from one another.
  • Respond to challenges with consistency and care, utilizing grace-filled discipleship to correct and guide the child when behavior misses the mark.
