Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations by managing accounts and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can independently handle bookkeeping tasks with precision.
* This is an in office position in Chattanooga, TN
* Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and account statements.

- Process and manage payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

- Prepare and execute year-end closing procedures, ensuring all accounts are balanced and reconciled.

- Utilize Quick Books to manage financial transactions and generate detailed reports.

- Analyze financial data to provide timely and accurate insights for business decision-making.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues effectively.

- Ensure compliance with accrual and cash basis accounting standards.

- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Maintain organization and accuracy while working independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

- Associate degree or higher in Accounting or Business is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping roles.

- Strong knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting principles.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and advanced Microsoft Office applications.

- Demonstrated expertise in year-end closing procedures.

- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal oversight.

- Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to shifting priorities.

- Previous experience with payroll is desirable.
